About The Artwork
The painting is painted in the classic technique of egg tempera, a mixture of pigments, linseed oil and egg. Medieval icon painting is based on this technique. A piece of the sea is depicted, moving and turbulent, in a multi-layered impressionistic manner. The surface is very lively thanks to the incorporated diaspore dust. Diaspor is an abrasive and gemstone with a high refraction of light. The framing consists of a neutral, narrow shadow gap frame.
