About The Artwork

Surya (/ˈsuːrjə/;[3] Sanskrit: सूर्य, IAST: Sūrya) is a Sanskrit word that means the Sun.[4] Synonyms of Surya in ancient Indian literature include Aditya, Arka, Bhanu, Savitr, Pushan, Ravi, Martanda, Mitra, Bhaskara, Prabhakara and Vivasvan.[5][6][7] Surya also connotes the solar deity in Hinduism,[8] particularly in the Saura tradition found in states such as Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Odisha. Surya is one of the major five deities in Hinduism, considered as equivalent aspects and means to realizing Brahman in the Smarta Tradition.[9] Having survived as a primary deity in Hinduism arguably better and longer than any other of the original Vedic deities apart from Vishnu and Shiva, the worship of Surya declined greatly around the 13th century, perhaps as a result of the Muslim conquest of north India. New Surya temples virtually ceased to be built, and some were later converted to a different dedication, generally Shiva. A number of important Surya temples remain, but many are no longer in worship. In certain aspects, Surya has tended to be merged into Vishnu or Shiva, or seen as subsidiary to them.[19]

Short Bio I was born at ELURU, A.P. in INDIA (SOUTH). Since the age of five I am closely integrated with the art. Being born to a renowned artist right from my childhood, I had an urge towards art and photography. I used to observe my father while he was painting and when he finished his work, I used to clean his brushes. Often I used to paint with the same brushes. I followed my passion for art and studied photography in the school. Subsequently, I was employed in IDPL Rishikesh, Uttaranchal as an Artist & Photographer. To fulfill my creative urge, I did several experiments for more than a decade on photo chemicals on bromide, and painting on used X ray film after treating them with photo chemicals. Living close to Himalaya Mountains, I was inspired by the splendors of nature and did several paintings on canvas.
