About The Artwork
“Suthain" is the Gaelic word for eternal. This work was inspired from the colours of the landscape I saw when flying into Kerry Airport in 2000. The work takes on elements and colours from further afield on that trip to Ireland but all the elements that make the piece were experienced on that journey. In the centre of the central panel is a Celtic cross and the lines of some of these crosses relate to the landscape and it was this connection between man and landscape that interested me at the time of creating this piece.
