About The Artwork
I loved the way this goat is demanded attention and engagement. I painted him in large scale - almost a metre square - in layers of glazes, just like I do for more conventional portraits in oils. I am hoping to paint a whole series of 'hero shots' like this of African domestic animals.

Katy McIntyre Brown is an artist and textile designer. Having moved from Kenya, she now lives in Hampshire, England. She's hosted a number of solo exhibitions, regularly takes part in group shows and has been involved in public art exhibitions and competitions. Katy designed and painted the winning piece in the Nairobi-wide Pride of Kenya public art event to decorate a three dimension lion sculpture. Following being awarded a Masters in Textile Design, Winchester College of Art, England, she has created a line of textile designs to appear on wallpapers, wall arts and fabrics.
