About The Artwork

The inspiration behind "Swan Lake" arises from the enchanting allure of nature and the graceful presence of swans. The serene and tranquil ambiance of a lake setting is a reflection of inner peace and harmony, guiding the creative journey. Through "Swan Lake," my intention is for viewers to be transported to a state of calm and tranquility, immersed in the soothing surroundings of the painting. The graceful movements of the swans and the symmetrical reflections on the shimmering water evoke a sense of balance and unity, inviting contemplation and fostering a profound connection to the beauty of nature. Acrylic, the chosen medium, facilitates vibrant and meticulous detailing, capturing the delicate forms of the swans and the subtle nuances of their expressions. The subject matter, centered around the swan family with their four adorable cygnets, portrays a timeless and universally captivating scene, drawing viewers into a heartwarming moment of family bonds and natural beauty. The artistic style harmoniously blends realism with touches of impressionism, enhancing the enchanting ambiance of the painting. Measuring 91.5 x 122 cm, this unframed acrylic on canvas artwork exemplifies my deep admiration for the magnificence of nature and my endeavor to create a serene and captivating visual experience for viewers. "Swan Lake" invites you to immerse yourself in a captivating world, where the elegance of swans and the tender presence of their four baby cygnets create an unforgettable ballet of grace and tranquility, leaving you with a profound sense of wonder and inner peace.

Stephanie Fuller is a multi-national artist whose paintings evoke strong emotions by blending seascapes and landscapes with an expressionistic style that highlights the human condition and our relationship with the natural world. With a well-rounded education in painting, drawing, and sculpture from Bath Academy, Norwich Life Room, and Wimbledon School of Art, Fuller has honed her technical skills. Her late husband, Peter Fuller, inspired her interest in ideas, beauty, and culture, while her childhood spent near the sea in Western Australia shaped her understanding of the natural world and her place within it. Fuller's artwork primarily revolves around environmental consciousness, reminding us of our connection to nature and our animalistic origins. Her creatures and people are intertwined in her paintings, which have been exhibited and collected by museums and private collectors globally for the past 30 years. Tragically, one of her large paintings was lost in the recent Australian bushfires. Over the years, Stephanie has had the privilege of visiting the studios of notable artists, including members of the Bomberg School, Leon Kossoff, and Roy Oxlade and the sculptor Henry Moore. David Bomberg's drawing skills and teachings, particularly his "spirit in the mass" concept of capturing the intuitive essence of a subject, have been a guiding force in Stephanie's artistic journey and will continue to influence her work. Stephanie Fuller's artwork has been widely recognised and collected by museums and private collectors worldwide for the past 30 years.
