About The Artwork
The second in a series of three paintings inspired by (odd) antique dolls seen at a local museum.This one reminded me of a frog in Victorian clothes because of the articulated limbs that somehow "swam" once wound up by a key on its back. The doll was cut out from canvas, then sewn and tied back onto the surface with embroidery thread.
