"Thoughts" has a gentle blue background, representing the calmness of an inner thought. The upper half of the skull in this work also portrays me in the role of a silent and contemplative thinker. I intentionally left out the lower half to emphasize the isolation of the thought. "Conversations" features a wild, flowing red background, representing childish and impulsive behavior. The lower half of the skull, with the focus on the mouth, underscores the outspokenness of a 14-year-old. Together, both images describe the dilemma I often face: sometimes having insightful thoughts but not expressing them, and at other times, speaking without thinking.
