About The Artwork

Technique: Mixed technique Acrylic / charcoal / pencil / natural pigments. Support: Cotton paper (acid free) on wooden support (0.5 cm raw dmf) prepared (hot glues). Size: 92x78 x 2.5 cm. Framing: oak frame (urn type), cloth mat and work protected by glass 106 x 92 x 3 cm. Signature: signed at the bottom left. Madrid 2020. Within the series - Contemplating the garden - this painting / drawing in medium / large format, faces the challenge of mixed technique with lean and conventional drawing materials, used on this occasion in a very free way in its treatment. In this painting, the drawing treatment helps to identify details of the trunks of the trees / shrubs that are illuminated with the color of the flowers. The materials used and the classic hints of some image place this work between classicism and abstraction. The license that I allow myself when interpreting what I see, is a cure of humility and not pride, since trying to imitate the color of nature in any case is nothing more than audacity on my part, but because of my professional condition it is stronger the honest impulse to express publicly without shame what I feel.
