About The Artwork
Anyone who has ever been to the Whitney Museum in New York knows how breathtaking art can be. This place is also for artists, like Frank Krüger, pure inspiration. The impetus for the work TRIBUTE TO ANDY W. II was at that time the famous Cola bottle picture of A. Warhol, which was exhibited in the said museum. Shown are cola cans, which all differ in color. On closer inspection, all are somewhat impressed; with one exception: the original Cola can in the middle. Particularly noteworthy is the material used and its preparation. The picture was painted with oil paints on aluminum.
