About The Artwork
Being a Southern California beach girl in the 60s and 70s I needed to recreate my childhood, and thus this series of paintings, Beach Blanket Bingo. I want folks to feel that same feeling I did on those golden days on the sand with the waves crashing in the background, and perhaps a little of that dizzying feeling of first love. Oil and cold wax gave helped me create that feeling, with vivid color and the textural capabilities of cold wax.
