About the Artist

Kristine Ballard

Australia

Colour is the driving force behind Ballard’s unique style called ‘Fragmatism’. Here images float, dissolve and fragment across the canvas, and beauty is often camouflaged. Deconstructed shape and reconstructed colour is always the focus of her work.
Her artistic response produces dreamscapes that float from the landscape to the ocean. She celebrates the small beauties that surround us through her still life pieces.
Ballard has exhibited both nationally and internationally. She has completed many Art Residencies including stays at the prestigious
Art Students League of New York, in Venice at
the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, and at Monsalvat in Victoria, Australia’s oldest art colony.
She believes that colour has the power to enrich and uplift our lives. Her artworks invite collectors to escape into a world of colour that is always ‘bright beyond beige’.
