Originally from Birmingham, Anders moved to London to study BA(hons) Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, London School of Art. She now works in her studio in Birmingham, painting her own figurative paintings. Anders work communicates the intensity of the painted figure through pose, gesture and expression. She mixes traditional oil techniques with modern styles, to create contemporary figurative images. The different textures and layers of paint act to heighten the figurative gesture in each piece.
