About The Artwork
TANGO: originated in lower-class districts of Buenos Aires and Montevideo, the music derived from the fusion of various forms of music from Europe. The word "tango" and "tambo" where initially used around the River Plate basin to refer to musical gatherings of slaves. TANGO 1.0: my expression of its many influences from African and European culture. Mixed media on cardboard, wood.
