About The Artwork
The artwork conveys the world that may not be visible but what the artist willing to see and create. The artist recorded her feelings, visual scenes that she saw in her dreams and the place that she has imagined into a canvas. “The world we live in is not always beautiful. It is rather loud than calm, cluttered rather than arranged, rather than peaceful. But I know that our heart always dreams of being beautiful, still and peaceful.” This artwork reflects the artist’s hope and desire for the serenity and beauty of all of us. The background is painted with acrylic without brush. The technique used for the background was the drip painting but without brush. Bubbles and forms were created and dropped and sprayed on the canvas. When the abstract painting as a background was completed, the figure was painted with oil, lightly and co-exists with the background abstract. The abstract part conveys feelings, emotions and the semi-unconscious world such as dream, while the figure depicts the reality, consciousness and rational part of the visual memory. The canvas is stretched on wooden frame and is ready to be hung.

South Korea- born Australian artist, currently based in Seoul. "The early immigration period was difficult to communicate in the language, but the sense of isolation has driven me into creating art as another way of communication. Since then, art never left me." Since 2015, Eury moved back to Korea and started her art series that involves Korean poetic approach in fine art. The latest series contains flows and rhythms of Eastern art in the absorption of Western form, texture and colour. The artworks convey the world that may not be visible but the dreamlike imagery. The artist's recent works display a poetic space formed by fairytale-like natural environment and symbols with Korean traditional art approach, creating a hidden, mystic and dreamy atmosphere. In collaboration with her personal feelings, she recorded certain visual scenes that remembered from her dreams and imagination.
