About The Artwork

'Teasing the waves' is a soft pastel painting on paper. The blue sea is calling me, The wild waves are dancing with me, Am I chasing the waves?...... Or The waves are chasing me!! I have always loved the colour of the blue ocean.....and surfer surfing and riding the high waves is a delight to watch. To me, the waves always seem to compete and chase the surfer. Although I am quite afraid of the sea, but I don't know why I love painting it! The white foaming waves against the deep blue waters makes a picturesque scene.....an absolute delight for the painter! I have tried to catch the merriment of the waves seemingly chasing the strong surfer! A blue painting that will look good on a white, off-white or deep blue wall/ background.

A natural artist, her journey started with sketches and drawings in her exercise copies, which later converted to paper, canvas, glass and murals. Her art is not confined to any particular overriding theme or colour, but explores the ecstasy of blue sky, scudding clouds and the warm embrace of a pining lover! Her black and white illustrations in the international award winning book "Daggers of Treason", has been much appreciated for its intricate and fine detailing, and she is now working on the sequel for a Hollywood adaptation.
