That Light - 4 Painting

Born and raised in a former Soviet Union, Lina received a very traditional academic education in art. In 1991 she won a full scholarship at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia and studied there for a year. That was Lina's first exposure to western culture, so she started to explore art beyond social realism. In 1992 she returned to Russia to continue her education. In 1997 Lina graduated with Masters degree from Industrial Art University and started to work as an Interior Designer. Shortly after graduation she started to experiment with abstract paintings and developed her own artistic style. She finds her inspiration in nature. Lina Egutkina has had shows and sold her work in London and San Francisco galleries and Bonhams&Butterfields Auction. Her works are in numerous private collections around the world.
