About The Artwork
This is an original watercolor of a young Alpine Chamois (Rupicapra rupicapra), which is similar in appearance to a goat and slightly larger than a Roe deer. The coat is changing from reddish-brown in summer, to blackish-brown in winter. The Alpine Chamois is painted on professional Hahnemühle 425 gsm watercolor paper. The painting is supplied with a white mount, ready to frame. For long lasting mounting of the artwork, I'm using acid-free masking tape from ProArt. Overall size of the painting, including mount, is 40x50 cm.

Violeta Damjanovic-Behrendt studied art at the private fine arts school in Belgrade, Serbia. During the period 1998-2005, she painted Byzantine Icons and had her work exhibited in Belgrade, Manhattan, (NYC, USA), Richmond (VA, USA), Salzburg (Austria). Since 2012, she has been passionate about watercolour painting technique that she's continuously exploring through seminars, literature and her own experimentation.
