The Avalanche Painting

Size: 36" W x 50" H (91 x 127 cm) I found inspiration for this artwork in my own memories. Once I saw the beginning of an avalanche from a bird's eye view. We flew over the Pyrenees in a helicopter and I saw how the snow began to fall from the tops of the mountains. The snow streams were so powerful that I remembered them forever. Then I took several photos of the avalanche, and now I decided to reflect this snowy element on canvas. For this, I created a dynamic composition and used contrasting dark and light colors. This picture is painted with broad, energetic strokes. They form not only a unique pattern, but also a unique relief on the surface of the canvas. I also added gold elements and some blue to make this piece really expressive.
