The Dragon King's daughter is the first creature, half woman and half animal, to receive enlightenment. The only female being to have reached Nirvana, in spite of arrogant men and priests; because his heart was pure. I wanted to paint it because this story of mine conveys awareness, this is the reason why the subject looks straight into the eyes of those who look at it. To inspire strength and awareness of the Buddha nature in each of us.
