About The Artwork

it is a tailoring workshop. A figure bent forward adjusts the dress of a woman intent on playing the violin. The scene is unusual and almost surreal. But what strikes me in having imagined it is not so much the unreal, dreamlike, or visionary aspect as the lyrical accent of the composition.
