During my teenage years, in outback Australia, my father kept a pet bird..a sulphur crested cockatoo. These birds are large, raucous and entertaining. They are often seen overhead in both remote and populated areas, flying in groups or pairs. With patience, they can be trained to talk with you. Sometimes they repeat things they overhear, when you are nearby, working or chatting..thinking that the cockatoo is out of earshot. Names, phrases and on occasion..swear words. The girl is also one of those that you encounter in all parts of the world.. entertaining, raucous and mostly colourful. Together, they are unforgettable!

Born in Australia. Travelled extensively throughout my life...living in Tahiti, The Cook Islands, New Zealand, France, Ibiza, Mainland Spain, Germany, Italy, The United Kingdom and Japan. Sculpted in metal, wood, bamboo, plaster, cement, clay and leaf matter. Painted in oil, acrylic, ink, wax, melted crayon, tar, earth and anything else I could find. I have endeavoured to bring the qualities of humour, drama, spirituality, mystery, strategy and intuition into my work, by employing colour, texture and storytelling wthin the subject matter. For an artist, there is nothing quite like standing in front of a new board, canvas or Artpaper...ready to make the first mark. Almost anything can happen from here...and usually does. It is one of the great privileges of being a practising artist. As an artist and sculptor, it is sometimes difficult to be understood by presenting certain work before the viewer, but if a work is wholly and truly appreciated by the viewer...then it needs no explanation. Just a feeling of connectivity is enough to delight. I continue to paint and create because it heightens the intensity and need for passion in one's life. I believe every life needs a point of interest in which to wander towards. Whether it is art, writing, love or simply connecting...the power and pleasure lies in the pursuit. Have exhibited in both Solo and Collective Exhibitions in London, Ibiza, New Zealand, France, Frankfurt, Tahiti, Australia and The Cook Islands for over forty years and have work in both Private and Corporate Collections worldwide.
