The source of inspiration for my work was feminist theories from the past and their evolution over time. What was originally well-intentioned has changed and transformed over the decades... In this context, the statement by author Ronja von Rönne catches my attention: "Women's rights have become a performance... Feminism has turned into a charity for underprivileged women, merely a symptom of a culture of outrage that clings more firmly to the idea of equality than any communist regime. The struggle for attention is tough when urgency doesn't speak for itself. Feminism fights on all fronts, but no longer for justice, but for attention..." These words raise important questions about the current development of feminism that I explore in my work...
