About The Artwork
The horse signifies an old and tired soul moving out of the body. The skull with a foetus inside speaks about the moment of birth where death is also born with you. The umblical cord shows a new born baby. A flower is being offered to the old man giving respect to the past. The mother is a normal earthling wondering about the processes of life and death. Different layers and levels within the same painting signifies different times and spaces and the relationship between the two. The old man is the past. The lady is the present and the baby represents the future.As a sign of respect for the past the child continues to carry the bloodline of the old man.
