The Illusion of Freedom Painting

This image was drafted from my very first Sketch book at college whilst studying Art & Design at Croydon College back in 2002. Whilst studying surrealism, we had been tasked to collate things or images that we held close or dear to us. 1) One portion of family were born in Jamaica, Sephardi Jews from Lacovia, St Elisabeth. 2) A ring handed down from my mother 3) The flower, Peace Lily. One of my mother favorites. 4) A single pyramid, what i would do to see just one, in Egypt 5) Bridge from Castle Walk, Blackland Lake in Calne, Wiltshire 6) My version rendition of "The Persistence of Memory" by Salvador Dali (One of my top 10 artists) 7) The desert representing the lonely road to success and the avoidance of pitfalls 8) The blue sky laced with delicate clouds, represents true freedom of the mind, body and soul. Mentally free, Physically limited.
