The canvas was removed from a wooden frame, secured, and rolled up. Shipped rolled up, without a wooden frame. Contact frames artisan to pull canvas on the new frame. __________ In 1515 Albrecht Durer executed a woodcut called Rhinoceros. Durer never saw the actual rhino. The image was based on a written description and brief drawing by an unknown artist of an Indian rhinoceros that had arrived in Lisbon earlier that year. In late 1515, the King of Portugal sent the animal as a gift for Pope Leo X but it died in a shipwreck off the coast of Italy in early 1516. The rhino depicted on my picture sails to Nuremberg. I am telling its story: we can see it bathing; then it is trapped; next, loaded on a vessel it accepts its captivity. A long time ago I visited Nuremberg, unfortunately, I do not remember any port on the river Pegnitz, and wonder whether any sailing ship could dock in Nuremberg at all. __________ The painting from the solo exhibition “Cepheus, Heracles and the Indian Unicorn " 2021, Municipal Art Gallery MM, Chorzów. __________ The work is sent together with exhibition catalogs. The artist includes catalogs from individual exhibitions with each original painting.

In my paintings I try to combine the sphere of physis, sensual pleasure, biology, and colors with symbolic elements evoking ontological and metaphysical meanings. My canvas constitute a mixture of textural and flat painting; Working on paper, I apply various techniques; I also press some parts of my linocuts. I am fond of order, symmetry and classic skills. At the same time, in painting and drawing I use techniques that allow chance decalcomania, grattage, dropping. At the first stage of my creative work I am quick and spontaneous. Then, at the next stages, I tame chaos and introduce order. As a result, my paintings form multilayer phenomenon. The layer of colors, regions of colors interactions constitute the foundation of my paintings. The material layer consists of the specific techniques I applied, textures, and deposits of paints. The layer of represented objects includes figures like woman, boy, tree, rhino. The layer of meanings consists of a story that usually finds no final on the picture.
