About The Artwork
Symbolic interpretation of the Last Supper. Finished May 2011. This is the third version and the only one I'm vaguely happy with. The first one turned out to be more like devil worshippers standing around a table drenched with blood and the second one is too abstract and rather insipid. O, well... The two reddish blobs near the bottom started out as intending to be 'chala' bread but ended a up as rather suspicious-looking meaty objects. This is probably me just shying away from and suppressing the potentially rather gruesome aspects of this whole theme. O, well...
