In Ireland there are ongoing debates about women's health, particularly reproductive health and freedom of choice. A scandal that has shocked everyone has been the 'Tuam Babies'. This is an old photo of an anonymous midwife which made me think of the lonely and frightening experience of giving birth in an institution, in shame, only to have your baby taken away from you and to live with the grief for the rest of your life.
