These Japanese monkeys spend time in hot springs during cold days of winter. The animal does appear to be in a state of trans or meditation. The gessoed board give the painting additional interesting look as a pigments are flowing more freely without sinking to deep in to the surface of the board. This piece is a part of upcoming series of animalistic paintings.

Natalia was born in Russia in 1973 and started drawing and painting at an early age. After completing her MA in Film Art Approach at the oldest school in the world that specializes in the movie industry ("All-Russia Institute of Cinematography" (VGIK) in Moscow), she has worked at Soyuzmultfilm animation studio and later as the Art Director in advertising agency until 2003. That year she moved to the US. While living in New Jersey, she worked on projects creating animation for Nickelodeon and Michael Sporn studio in New York City. Over her professional career, Natalia has worked on various animation projects for TV and short films, illustrated books and designed characters, objects, clothing, packaging and everything in between.
