About The Artwork
I have created a cicle of painted dolls between 2008 and 2016. Those artworks are highty influenced by my travels during that time through Turkey (Anatolia, Bergama, Istambul), Georgia (Tbilisi, Caucasian region, Mtscheta) and Romania, Serbia, Kosovo and Metohia. My girls are inspired by the folck painting of the Balcas, Mediteranian and Caucasus region. I have personally prepared the painting canvas for the Moon Doll. This painting was presented in 2013 in Karlsruhe, Germany during the art exhibition "FINE ART from Timişoara". Rosa Baum, vice-president of the Gedok Karlsruhe association, appreciated the mix between folck art, ancestral worship and freedom specific for my paintings.
