This work is based on a photography taken in Berlin in the early 2000s from inside a building. The clean renovated home inside is nearly hidden. The opposite facade seems run-down but offers a view into private spaces and vivid history of the building.

The photography is transformed by painting over with acrylic and reducing elements within the picture by carefully removing certain parts with water and brush. Along the way, this technique creates a powerful dimensional effect.

***For sale is the 2nd individual reproduction of this piece. Different sizes can be ordered***

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

My main topics are the continuing search of individuals for something, the strive of humans as a group to reach for "the next big thing", economics (especially in the art industry), justice or to put it simply: why do we live and what for? I believe in humour as the most effectual way of communicating serious content. Art has to ask relevant questions, move people, change people's perspectives, views and opinions. Otherwise, the privileges of art and artists are overrated.
