About The Artwork
This painting is about the subject of higher worlds and our connection with them. The central figure, the Oracle, gazes upwards in a meditative state while touching the earth with her right finger. A spectral figure rises out of a pool of water to offer her a cup. In the background are figures, birds and enigmatic structures. The technique here is one of drawing on the canvas with a china marker and then brushing on liquin, oil colors and glazes.
