The Peacock Butterfly Painting

I am a full time artist and spent my time on the North Devon coast and my home in Somerset. I studied Fine Art at Bath Spa University and gained a B.A (Hons) in 1999. I went on to studied for a Teaching Cert For Adults Further Education. I taught all aspects of Art, Sculptural Ceramics and Life-drawing from 2000-2012. I am a full time artist/photographer and spent most of my time between the North Devon coast where I lived for many years and in Somerset. My art is forever changing, it has to, life does not stand still, it cannot. Art is about all things, and I get my inspiration from my surroundings, music, emotions, the spoken word and every day stories. Art can be beautiful it can be ugly and painful. It's often political. I try not to get too deep with my art, I like to keep it real. I have always been interested in photography and have my camera with me at all times. I love nature and the coastline and I am constantly taking pictures of everything I see around me. I have a passion for horses and they usually find a way into my paintings wherever possible.
