The Princess Frog in style of Feng Shui (from the cycle "Bestiary of the XXI century ") Painting

The text of the author’s comment is as follows: "The Russians people are a tale of a bewitched beautiful princess, which 3 years should have been in the image of a frog. It is in the form of a frog she married, and every night her husband delivered her from witchcraft using a kiss. Once he could not stand ridicule of neighbors and the night he burned her frog skin, then the sorcerer hid princess in castle, and the stupid husband found a lot of adventures on his ass. But all ended well: her husband regained his beautiful wife, rescued her from witchcraft forever and got her a rich dowry. And the Chinese people, who gave the world a system harmonization of space Feng Shui, have a legend about threelegged frog, which brings richness. We all are living now in a global world, where stories of different people are mixed and transformed, creating something new. And the modern princess Frog should look sexy and brings a richness of Feng Shui". In painting uses the author’s technique of creating the effect of moist mucous membranes of the eyes. For this technique, I use vintage brushes with natural nap. Only vintage brushes are suitable, because for some reason then the pile of animals had special properties (modern ones do not have this property). Each brush can be used only once, because chemicals literally kill it. And I have a limited supply of brushes. But the effect obtained is worth these costs and efforts. This painting was created by expensive acrylic paints of Italian production (luxury category) and gilding. Work on this painting lasted for 2 years. The painting was exhibited at a collective exhibition as part of 3 UKRAINIAN ART WEEK and at the international collective exhibition ARTKULTURA - Milano 2016. The processes of globalization penetrated not only the economy, but also the mental sphere. And the characters of fairy tales already familiar from childhood are replaced by figurines of Feng Shui. The idea of this picture came to me when one day I came to visit a house of fervent Orthodox people, where in the red corner under the icons stood a three-legged frog figurine - the Chinese symbol of wealth. This manifestation of religious globalization seemed strange to me, so the picture was conceived as a satire, as a caricature of our modern civilization (including the tradition of distorting the proportions of the female body in glamorous magazines). This satirical message of the author only strengthens the cultural value of the picture, flocking it on a par with medieval bestiaries, as well as with the works of Bosch and Goya. It was just continuing the old bestiary tradition that I depicted 4 fingers on the hands of Tsarevna Frogs, because in the wild in ordinary frogs on the front legs there are also 4 fingers - the fifth “lost” in the process of evolution. The painting is filled with Feng Shui symbols and acts just like a three-legged frog of this teaching on the harmonization of space. The mountain of golden sand, gold bars and nuggets, on which the heroine rests in the classic pose of Venus, symbolizes wealth. The purple-red color of the back wall in "Venetian plaster" symbolizes eternal glory. A game of 8 items is typical of feng shui magic for wealth. And the dexterity with which the Princess with her tongue catches coins from her space for her master, testifies to the activity of this magic. The emphasized femininity of the Tsarevna’s figure is pleasing to the eye, and the arrow in her hand is an undeniable phallic symbol linking the painting with the owner. Based on all this, we can say that the picture will be a wonderful decoration for the office of an impudent businessman with a developed taste and good sense of humor.
