About The Artwork

This painting is an acrylic on canvas painting and it depicts men from the northern part of Nigeria who are sent by the Emir in search for a beautiful treasure. At the background, you'll see other men who have gone to search for the treasure but couldn't find any. The Emir sent in 2 other men to locate this treasure. This painting is another petition to draw attention to the plight of the African rural areas where the govt had abandoned because they couldn't imagine that treasures could also be in the rural areas too. They've decided to developed the urban areas & abandoned the rural areas. It takes only someone with a foresight to see the treasures buried within a people, and a place.
