The Red Bucket Painting

A typical picture of my childhood during school holidays, this boy is taking his bucket to the edge of the lapping waves, looking for some sort of find from the sea. A feature of the reference photo by Katie Sykes is the red bucket that contrasts with the blues and muted tones of the rest of the picture. I also love the reflections in the water pooled on the beach. As we get older, one needs to reflect on time, and how one spends it. Sometimes we lose our inner child, but we can recover it through reflection.
