About The Artwork

• The 2020 rebellious behavior of the blacks against the U.S. Government is a little like when Americans revolted against the British colonialists in the late 1760s. • While American blacks were angry against white police brutality, racism, and ancestral slavery, the 1760s white Americans refused to pay the British tax without being represented in their Parliament. • While the First Amendment gives Americans the right to protest and express their resentments, it does not mean that a person is free to burn properties, riot and loot, and topple down historical legendary statues. • Mr. Trump’s decision to imprison those guilty of monument destruction may be a good solution, but the big comeback of the coronavirus was probably why more blacks had stayed at home eating popcorn. • To show that skin color does not deter one from showing resistance, I used black and white to paint a man resisting something like a Dalmatian.
