About The Artwork
This is a place of incredible beauty, in the Pembrokeshire National Park in Wales. The coastline and surrounding hills are a source of never-ending inspiration with the wonderful scenery, and rapidly changing light. The painting is made in Acrylics painted on heavy Bockingford paper. The use of quick-drying acrylics enable me to paint in many layers at a rapid rate, to capture the fleeting changes in colour and tone, as the weather rolls in from the Irish sea.

I began my art education at Foundation at Wirral College of Art, followed by a Fine art degree at Nottingham Trent University. During my working life I have usually had a brush or pen in my hand. I was a Paint & Trace artist in the Animation industry in London before my interest in ceramics led me to set-up a ceramic tile business with my wife, producing hand-painted tiles( Reptile). I have devoted more time to painting over the last 5 years, mostly landscape painted plein air, but also the figure.
