About The Artwork
This hummingbird was painted with only a palette knife and was for a poetry illustration. Poet Thom Smith wrote a series of Audubon poems and this was one of my favorites. There was a ruby throated hummingbird that visited us all summer and it was a delight to watch and listen as it flew around. 50% of profit from the sale of this painting will go to a local charity that rebuilds lives ruined from human trafficking. I will email you a receipt of this donation.
