Hazel Antaramian-Hofman is an adjunct art instructor for the State Center Community College District (Fresno and Reedley campuses) and an artist member of Fig Tree Gallery in Fresno, California. An illustrator shortly after receiving her degree of fashion design, Antaramian Hofman left the profession for one in sciences, then re-entered the art field and attended the graduate art and design program at Fresno State University, focusing her scholarly studies on medieval Armenian art and resuming her studio work. In the field of art history, she presented her graduate research at numerous national conferences, received several awards and grants supporting her studies, and published works in the field. In the area of studio art, she participated in numerous group exhibitions and several solo exhibitions; received exhibition grants; and made her inaugural exhibition of work regarding the repatriation to Soviet Armenia at the Armenian Museum in Fresno in 2013. She was awarded her Master of Arts in Art and Design from Fresno State University in December 2011, and received the Outstanding Thesis Award from the College of Arts and Humanities in May 2012. In March 2014, she joined the artists’ cooperative Fig Tree Gallery in Fresno, CA.
