About The Artwork
As I am a big fan of Jazz, and especially of Miles Davis, it was just a matter of time when I will make his portrait. The painting is part of my "Legend" series. I choosed the combination of an black & white drawing with a slightly blu touch, and the blu background with notes. The photo from which I painted the portrait impressed me deeply - the look of his eyes is telling such a great variety of different feelings. As well, the gesture of his hands is involving the viewer in some non-verbal communication. With his fingers he was bringing his everlasting music to us. There is such a lot of Drama, Pain and Passion, between his fingers and eyes.
