About The Artwork
The Sweetness of Life I really felt inspired by vintage poster styles for this relief.. Looking at nature as a symbolic reflection of the language to the self, I saw the bee as that symbol of sweetness..the very substance they produce. The idea of 'saving bees' as saving something much more complex, and perhaps even vital to the human experience. Life, of course isn't all mechanics as it is not just bread alone. The flowers, the honey, the manna that exist is the stuffs that give life its sense of enrichment. The bees are worth saving.. So are the rewards found in a symbiotic relationship TO them. Pleasure is a precious grace,and is always worth attending.
