It is extra shiny by glue.

These artworks are the next evolution step of my previous drawings/paintings production. Since 2014 I have been focusing on topics of hunting, machoism and male´s mental masculinity. I usually draw figurative compositions of selected controversial situations. In 2015 I made 12 meters long panoramic drawing with naked hunters in obscene compositions, dead animals and the former Slovak president Ivan Gasparovic. The next year I bent my focus to futurological visions based on topics of regulated conditions of human birthrate. Now I focus on drawing compositions of broken, resigned or submissive women figures. The main topics are gender disproportions, macho-behaving males, social and cultural anachronism and parallels between the animality of hunting males during the hunt and their daily life.

While I focus on the strong ego-masturbating male, head of family, trophies collector, my attention is on the trophies, as result of the activity of the first one. It means women, often victims of male´s complexes and behaviour. Women start to be „good“ only after their „riot“ is eliminated. Submissive woman is a good trophy.

Formally, I depict these situations on a paper in various dimensions. Compositions of naked women are drawn by quick hand. I am using industrial paints and glues, which I buy in DIY stores with mostly male customers. The big quantity and short creating time of the drawings is important for me. I am drawing fast, without live models and retouches of details. As „a model“ I use photographic compositions of my wife. This strategy I see as accelerator of a very personal private dialogue. And, I am finding the inspiration also in another part of my private life. I refer to the freaky „popular thinking” of my grandfathers (heads of families), who were so clear and obdurate in their attitudes and their way of raising their children. As example I can see how strongly these concepts reflect in my parents´ personalities.

These principles are not always recognized in the first plan of my drawings. Sometimes the artworks are let´s say decorative. They only show naked laying female figures. Sometimes the viewers can see something like laziness or a kind of hedonism. This level of something harmless is also important for me. The viewer will never see blood or any kind of violence. Everything on the pictures is supposed to look all right. The figures have no faces, they are prepared to be anyone. I decorate some of the drawings with kitsch crystals, same as you can find on the luxury chandeliers.

I consider this decorative intervention on the selected pieces as my personal comment to the topic of the artworks exclusivity. It is another hidden level of my thinking about art and art market. Sometimes I select one artwork from a hundred of others and I have it framed and glassed. This framing I see as an act of a privileged form, how to declare a higher price and momentousness of the selected drawing.

The principles of my artistic production and my statement which I would like to claim is also that I am a white, heterosexual, Eastern-European male.

This thesis has several other levels in my artistic production. I also create „never ending“ paintings on canvas with the same content and 3D objects.
