About The Artwork

A little history about the name of the painting: The #Turin #Horse (Hungarian: A torinói ló) is a 2011 Hungarian philosophical drama film directed by Béla #Tarr and Ágnes Hranitzky, starring János Derzsi, Erika Bók and Mihály Kormos. It was co-written by Tarr and his frequent collaborator László Krasznahorkai. It recalls the whipping of a horse in the Italian city Turin which is rumoured to have caused the mental breakdown of philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche. The film is in black-and-white, shot in only 30 long takes by Tarr's regular cameraman Fred Kelemen, and depicts the repetitive daily lives of the horse-owner and his daughter.

Do you feel something about my artwork, something that reflects your state of mind at that moment, or gives you joy and answers? Or questions? You can contact me directly on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/armano.jericevic) or instagram (https://www.instagram.com/armanojericevic/) ! I make art because it's an inner drive i have to burst out in a painting or photo. I question myself as a human being, my role in this life and i want to share it with you. Every human being has questions, be it silly and childish or a deep philosophical earthquake which shakes you and make you shiver. Who am i? Who are you? Every brush stroke on my painting is a sentence which states my inner metaphysical landscape. It is worth as much as my reflection reflects you. I don't make studies or sketches to make my paintings later, based on them. I try not to make concepts and i do not follow concepts. My artwork is formed directly from my and the collective subconscious. The goal is to synchronize the essence of my artwork with the the reception of it, and to contribute with a healing humanistic approach to contemporary space and time. Artist, philosopher, philanthropist and erudite Armano Jeričević, was born in Zagreb in 1962. Around the 2000s he left his conventional life of a dentist with a study of film direction in the capital city of Croatia, and settled in the heart of the wild Istria in an abandoned hamlet, to live self-sufficiency and self-analysis in accordance with the rhythms of nature and his artistic givens. Since August 2019, he moved to Bretagne, France to change the non supportive surrounding of recent sociopolitical developments in Croatia and to find new inspiration for his work in the magnificent rural and social landscape of Bretagne. His life is a blend of philosophy and esoteric, which is subtly reflected in his works. Surrounded by nature, he observes and analyzes global and local social political and cultural events, displays and records his physical and metaphysical attitudes towards those events with his photos and paintings. The amplitude of gaps between possibilities of a harmonious human coexistence and the brutal neo liberal nonsense reality, create a huge variety of focus in his works, which do not occur in series, but rather 'jump' together with his thoughts and simultaneous joy of everyday life.
