ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Part of my Utopian & Dystopian painting series I have been exploring a bi-communal ideology for areas of conflict. Deriving from my Cypriot heritage, in this painting I illustrate the culture and history of my country. An island that has been forced into division for many decades. If such problem remains we will observe a dystopian future: where the two nationalities have evolved into distinct creatures; the two tribes have been obviating a solution possibly for millennia. A meeting occurs in this painting for the first time.
