The Wild Rose Painting

As a young child my Father began taking me on very long and arduous backpacks deep into the wild back country of Utah. Along the way in order to distract me from my heavy pack, hunger, aching feet and difficult terrain.. he would point out every little intricate wild flower, creeping lichen, unique insect and various natural wonders. I was always overcome with elation, and appreciation when we were fortunate enough to come across Wild Roses. Wild Roses are rare, simplistic in their beauty and shockingly aromatic! Thanks to my wise father I was taught the importance to always “Stop and smell the Wild Roses”.
