The 3rd Eye – Allow the data to be received through your two eyes, through staring, absorption and acceptance. We have the natural inclination to be curious of the unknown, which is why many of us have interest in the transcendent and the divine. And among those who believe that something lies beyond our material world, there are those who claim that there is a way to pierce the veil that separates the physical and the spiritual; a way that human beings could see the unseeable, hear the unhearable, and sense the unsensable. This is what they call the third eye, and this mystical eye, believed to be innate in all humans, is referred to in the field of science and biology as the pineal gland. The ancient legend that humans have a mystical sense awareness, the third eye, have deep and strong roots in eastern culture. In the esoteric European traditions, there is no mention of the third eye. In many Buddhist and Hindu teachings about this unusual organ, it is referred to as an indispensable feature of the deities. It was believed that with its help, they could penetrate into any corner of the universe and see the future. The image of the third eye on the forehead of deities is often present in paintings and sculptures in Hindu and Buddhist temples and is related to a tradition where Indian women place a spot (bindi) between their eyebrows. The third eye has been long been considered an epicentre of spiritual power. It is the eye of wisdom; the eye of knowledge. It is the centre through which all esoteric knowledge is said to come. The third eye is believed to be the energy point on the body that receives psychic messages and visions; clairvoyance, telepathy, seeing auras, chakras and other mystical experiences are said to be perceived through this eye.
