About The Artwork
'The day before' is a painting that was very difficult for me to paint in terms of feelings involve. The pandemic was at its very very beginning. I was in my home country for a solo exhibition I was about to have...and in order to be sure that I and my family could travel back to Denmark, we had to leave just the day before the opening. That day, 'The day before', was a very beautiful and calm day, with the clearest spring blue sky. Watercolor painting Diameter: 40 cm

Born in the town of Varna, Bulgaria in 1984 and moved to Copenhagen, Denmark 20 years later. She rediscovered art through watercolour in 2015 when the time and urge to express herself were finally both present. She paints mainly places she’s been to, places she’s seen something beautiful in, odd or disturbing. It's not about what we look at, it's about what we see.
