This work is the beginning of a study on the second brain, Intestine. A work inspired by the book "THE SECOND BRAIN" by Michael D. Gershon, considered one of the fathers neurogastroenterology. According to these studies, the intestine has the same nervous power of the brain and is the only organ capable to rebel to it, since the enteric nervous system can operate autonomously, in the complete absence of input from the brain; When Gershon discovered that over 95% of the body's serotonin is produced in the gut, he began his journey to 'inside of this organ. …a journey that has turned into a pictorial work of more than 4x4 m, where inside I tried to recreate and reinterpret the visceral movements, considering possible that the gut brain has its psychoneurosis. From the structural point of view, the work is divided into 36 canvases of different sizes, assembled together in order to create a vacuum inside the tunnel, which goes from inside to outside; This empty tunnel, is born from the wish to reproduce the space enclosed by the walls of intestine, the open tube which goes from the mouth to the anus. Interesting is how all 'inner emptiness of this space may be essential to complete the work intestine. Nothing really belongs there as long as it does not cross the border, so that vacuum, and is absorbed. Moreover, at different levels, This work presents canvases with different thicknesses, creating volume, depth and movement.
