About The Artwork
Liminality is a transitional state between different places, periods, worlds. They are filled with special magic for me. This is, for example, the moment when the day has already passed, but the night has not yet come, and the world froze for a short time in a strange twilight. Liminality is a magical new year's eve. Liminality is the moment in spring when the trees suddenly turn green. For the past few months, I have been in a strange liminal state in my life: the old life is ending, but the new one has not yet begun. I perceive the creature in the picture as a shaman, existing on the border of the profane world and the world of sacrality. Her true home is the corridors of liminality, mysterious transitional spaces.
