ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The work tells the story of an oily pastel box that I got from an octogenarian artist, a fascist, for whom, despite that, I have a certain affection. Masses of color make up the frame's structure. The oily pastel on the raw cotton canvas generates a plastic effect of dough and impasto, while the base, in carmine alizarin oil paint, establishes a chromatic base on which the painting drama unfolds.
